Urban Grace Church is a community church with deep historical roots in downtown Tacoma, Washington.

Objective

When the church approached us to develop a website for them they had recently gone through a major reorganization, moving from being one of the largest Baptist churches in the area to a more community-oriented, holistic ministry. They wanted a site that showed their diverse congregation, gave the idea that all people were welcome, and that would attract more young people.

Result

Urban Grace is located in one of the most unique buildings in downtown Tacoma. We took several shots of the outside of the building and the church supplied us a few historical and interior pictures as well. As impressive as the building is, the most important element of this church is the people. We created several collage-type pictures for the side of each page to give the idea that all ages and races were welcome. We also learned that light blue was a sort of unoffical representative color for the church so we incorporated it as much as we could.

Disclaimer - After we did the initial design of the church's website they turned the administration of the site over to one of their congregation. They have made some changes since then and because we do not take credit for work that isn't ours, you'll notice that clicking "Launch Site" at the bottom of this page will take you to a page within our site. This is the Urban Grace website as it was originally put together by us.
